Pretty picture: Paphiopedilum delanatii var. alba

I had been making some progress on some longer posts (a product review, an Anthurium update, a series of posts about bad houseplant advice, etc.) last week, and then there was a minor family crisis, followed by what appears to be a summer cold. So now I'm spending like five hours a day blowing my nose.1

At least it isn't the flu, I suppose.

The point being that even though new stuff is happening here with the plants again, and I have other things to write about besides, there will be continued delays before you actually start seeing any of that.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to blow my nose again.

1 That's not the worst part, though: the worst part is that my nose and throat are so irritated that breathing hurts. So I wind up doing things like tossing and turning for 10 minutes before falling asleep, and then I sleep for 45 minutes, and then I wake up and spend 5 minutes realizing that my nose is so stuffed up I can't breathe so I get up and blow my nose and then go back to bed. Repeated until it seems like less trouble to just stay awake than it does to go through the cycle again.

I hope you feel better soon! Summer colds suck.
